i don't usually have awesome snacks for after school. but today i did. and even though i don't have a picture of it, i have a picture of the kids. and i think you can tell they liked it.
our big plan for the day was to head to the land of nod pop-up shop in soho for some "textile crafts". it took a while to get there. the kids seemed to have fun together on the subway though.
this is a pretty great picture of may.
this is miriam. i mean, this is how she is almost all of the time, especially in the stroller. fingers in mouth. constantly.
when we got there and i let her out of the stroller, she immediately crawled over to this chair and climbed into it. who knows what she's pointing at. it could have been any number of things. that place has a ton to look at.
simon and may found plenty to play with. i think the tree stumps double as stools.
in the back ground you can see their play home canopy. it also proved to be quite entertaining for the kids.
here are the textiles, for making hats.
simon helped by holding the yarn so the instructors/helpers could roll it all into balls. the yarn was for making pom poms,
i was busy holding/chasing/containing miram (and making another hat for said rascal) that i failed to take any pictures of the hat making process. oops.
i really love the store. there was a sample of every toy for the kids to play with. and they were the best toys. well designed and fun. and the store was set up so beautifully. sadly i couldn't capture it all with the camera.
and then we found this little beauty on our way out. i was rushed and it was hard to keep other little ones out of the way, so i didn't get a great picture.
we got home late. i got mim to bed as fast as i could and then simon and i finished up his other advent calendars before rushing him off to bed too.
not sure what or who this guy is, but he's got a snowball.
