today, the activity behind the number magnet was to go to talia's birthday party. thank you, talia, for having a december birthday so i had one less day to plan.
talia's babysitter is an art student and was commissioned to create the birthday invitation. everybody loved it.
talia also really loves art, so there were plenty of art projects to keep the kids busy.
including homemade gak.
and the party favors were coloring books with not any regular crayon, but oil pastels. only the best for talia's friends.
miriam kept me busy the entire time. and this hippo picture board was just there, because we were in the craft room at hippo playground.
and before bedtime simon completed his nightly advent routine.
santa has one row of beard.

I love that we made it into your advent calendar! And Simon's painting was awesome. One very minor revision ... goop is cornstarch and water and while it is really fun, it's also too messy for a party like this. Gak is a weird combination of elmer's glue and borax (and food coloring and glitter and plastic knights, of course).
ps - I asked Emma to do a magical firefighter drawing for Simon.
