provo beach resort?

don't be fooled, there is no beach. they do have a flow rider, and a ton more, but no beach. when i was last in provo the riverwoods were under construction. i really didn't care. i didn't go very often. not many people do. but now it has this "resort", a few boutiques that weren't there before and a splash pad.

the resort has what they call toddler town.

the floor has foam tiles, like the kids room in nyc. and then there is this climbing structure like you might find at a mcdonald's playland. but there is no ball pit. there are large foam block type toys, and a slide. it's pretty great.

it doesn't seem like very much, but it's cleaner than mcdonald's, less crowded, and simon still had a blast. miriam even found ways to enjoy it.

there's also a carousel. only $1 a ride. not too bad. and again, simon likes it.

this is the splash pad right in front of the resort.

simon was hesitant to play in the water on this day. something about too many kids playing already. i think he heard that from someone else and thought it mattered. so i gave him a cup and told him he could fill it up with water and pour it on mim. that worked. of course that worked.

then mim made a friend.

and that friend did not trust simon, at all.

It looks like Provo is a pretty happening place. Even without a beach.
