simon has always been very curious about snow. he always likes to grab it off of cars, but he has no idea what to do with it. so he just drops it.

i thought i'd help him out and kind of just tossed him into the snow.

he didn't like it. at all. but the impression he made was pretty cool.

i think tossing him into the snow left a bit of a bad taste in his mouth. he'd had enough, but we had just gone outside.

so i found a higher mound of snow (probably made from the mound of dirt made by gophers) and sat him down in it. he doesn't look that upset, but trust me, he was. he just wanted to get out.

but i wanted to see how simon would like going up the stairs. look at all that snow!

after we got to the top he still wasn't happy. so i found this seat and wiped off the snow for him. he still just wanted me to pick him up.

i wouldn't do it. after a while he started moving his feet a bit.

then he stood up.

he even walked over to me. and then fell. look at his cute little footprints in the snow.

his hands must have been so cold.

i decided to take him out front. he made very sure to walk in the tracks cars had made, and not in the snow.

and after a while he started playing in the snow again.

and this is where i put my camera away and started showing simon how to make snow balls.
