touch a truck

it is pretty much what it sounds like. a bunch of trucks for kids to touch.

ambulance:

it was a super sunny day, and i either don't know how to use my camera properly or i just don't have a good camera...or both. the ambulance was the first truck so there were a ton of kids trying to get in. simon got in long enough to get a picture, but then was sort of kicked out. but then he got to put on a helmet that was way too big for his head.

garbage truck (i think):

garbage trucks are huge. i couldn't get a picture of the whole thing and still be able to see simon. but you can see how huge the tires are compared to simon.

there was a pretty big line to get in the truck. i waited while simon explored with rachel and chad.

fire truck:

probably his favorite truck.

even though there isn't a lot of room once you get inside. i don't think they were letting people into the driver's seat.

but simon tried anyway.

police car:

who knew the back seat could be fun too?

they even left the mic thing on.

and simon got to see a real policeman. we tried getting out to talk to him, but he was too distracted or busy, or just didn't want to talk to us.

truck farm:

it was really hard getting simon to leave. somehow one last climb onto the garbage truck was good enough? probably not. i think he was crying the whole way out.

on our way home we stopped to get simon a cheeseburger from mcdonald's. did you know that even in brooklyn you can get normal priced food there? it is just more expensive in manhattan. awesome.
