robert studies

i have developed a habit of leaving robert alone during finals. i mean i physically leave, go to another state. i believe it started his second semester of law school when i went to see my mom in arizona. in his third semester i went to visit a friend in dc. we were on a bus for about 5 hours. simon was quite the trooper.

when we got to dc our friends took us to eat at a chicken place. they really just had chicken and your choice of 3 sides. simon was starting to get restless, it was much past his bed time. so i gave him the ipod to help calm him. unfortunately, the ear buds don't stay in his ears very well.

i took pictures of simon waving hello to his daddy. we missed him. but i'm sure his studying was much more productive with us gone.

yonkers went on a metro ride with us.

so did the concrete mixer.

we went to a smithsonian with clara. sadly, none of the pictures with her came out very well. here is simon with a homosapien.

we were going to eat at founding farmers, but the wait was very long, on a weeknight. we certainly didn't expect that. instead we ate somewhere quite inferior (i imagine), baja fresh. but it was good enough. we were hungry.

documenting events with photographs really isn't my thing. i'm horrible at it. we also went to eastern market for breakfast. it was good. we ate at cheesecake factory. mmmm. and because i'm writing this post about four months late i can't remember much else.

i'm not sure why i don't have pictures with our gracious hosts. they let us stay for about a week. it was a great week. thank you sunny and jonathan.
