haunted pumpkin garden

i took simon to the haunted pumpkin garden at the ny botanical garden in the bronx. first we met rachel at grand central terminal and took the metro north train. first time on the metro north. it was nice. took only 20 minutes to get there once the train got moving.

rachel was a lifesaver. there is no way it would have been any fun without her. i had to feed miriam and keep her happy. simon wouldn't have liked that. so rachel played with simon while i took care of mim.

i'm pretty sure simon was pretending to be at an ice cream stand, selling ice cream to the people inside the pumpkin house. and i'm also pretty sure no kids knew what he was doing or how to play with him.

later he found these blocks. he really likes to build, and these blocks are great because they interlock and don't fall down as easily. can you tell simon is saying cheese? he's really good at that. what he's not very good at is staying still while he says it.
