grandma visits

my mom was already planning on coming up to utah, but she had to come early if she wanted to see us while we were still there. also, she kept me occupied while robert was gone for 18 days (working in china and interviewing in ny).

we went back to the aquarium. i really needed to maximize the value of my membership. (this is a joke, because if you go twice you've paid for the membership.) but i did want to take my mom because she hadn't been before.

simon cooperated with the frog a little bit better this time. just a little bit though.

they have a boat there. don't worry, it doesn't go anywhere. but that didn't stop simon.

oh my.

grandma, these are pretty cool fish!

i should learn a lesson here about blogging three months after the fact. i don't remember anything else we did with my mom, and i don't have pictures to remind me. but i'm so glad she and richard could come out and keep me company while robert was gone. thank you.
