simon swims

we wanted to get simon in the water this year, but we ran out of time for lessons before we went to hong kong. but then i realized it would probably be a great way to get simon adjusted to the new time zone. i don't know if it did. but we got plenty of daytime sun.

simon did really well the first day. he even let the teacher use him in a demonstration. then it went down hill. he got worse everyday. seriously, everyday. swim lessons were mon-thurs for two weeks. the first weekend after lessons started we went back to the pool just for play time. the whole next week simon just tried to run to the fun kid area. lessons became quite difficult.

i honestly don't know if simon learned anything. plus he didn't really learn how to swim. just how to go under water. maybe how to blow bubbles, if he didn't already know. but it was good. it gave us something to do. and i do think he likes it. (june 24, 2010)
