disneyland entertains

we were in hk just over a week when we went to disneyland. it was actually supposed to rain that day, so we thought we would at least try and hope the rain was enough to keep most people away but not enough rain to ruin the trip. well, it was sunny the whole day.


i love that there is a line on the mtr just for disneyland. it is called the disneyland resort line. and it is all disney.


at first it was difficult to get simon away from any of the fountains.


the line for the jungle cruise took so so long. simon was super impatient. he just didn't understand what he was waiting for. the camera helped distract him though.


robert was really excited for the winnie the pooh ride. simon doesn't know winnie, he was just along for the ride. it kind of made me sick.


it was a pretty warm day and pretty humid. perfect conditions to tucker out a little guy. i think he got a good 40-50 minutes of sleep in his stroller.


while simon was sleeping robert went on space mountain. we also took simon on orbitron, buzz lightyear and a small world. i think a small world is my favorite. it just makes me really happy.


before we left we decided that i would get an annual pass. that let up on the pressure to do everything that first day. it cost the same as going twice, and i knew i'd have many days with not much to do while robert was at work. with my annual pass i received a coupon to bring a friend for only usd10! so, we talked simon's nana into coming to hk for a visit and went back with her.


in the next picture we were waiting in line for autotopia. uhm, if you know how to drive then don't go on this ride. it was for kids who still aren't allowed to drive, and they think this ride is like driving. it isn't. and we waited way too long in line for a clunky and jerky ride.


this time i decided to actually let simon play in the water garden. i also knew if i was going to let him play at all i'd have to let him go all the way. there was no way to keep this kid from getting soaked. he absolutely loved it. also, while he was playing nana and i took turns going on space mountain.







our third trip to disneyland was a little less memorable. also, my camera ran out of batteries. but i got a good one of simon wearing the glasses for mickey's philharmagic orchestra.


our fourth and last trip there was just a couple days before we left hk. disneyland was having parties all over the place. i didn't really care about any of the other characters that were there for pictures. i wish sully and mike (from monsters, inc.) had been there. but it was fun to get pictures with the incredibles. simon was really freaked out.


but we got some ok pictures in the end.



we went on a small world twice while the lines were still short. here is a disney interpretation of the hk harbor. i love it. there is also a star ferry boat that goes through the water.


simon really liked the clock on the outside of the ride.

it's too bad i couldn't capture everything we did at disneyland. simon had so much fun!
