i was sitting with simon and making him smile and smirk...i promise these are happy faces, not sad, angry or frustrated.

simon says

8/14/14 - on going home to nyc after vacation in utah and california, "i'm sweet and sour on it."

1/4/14 - "i do not want to eat my burger, i love it." and then he kissed it.

8/4/13 - dad: "i found a light saber on the floor." him: "oh, i think that's mine. (pause) oh, no, that's luke skywalker's."
7/11/13 - "i was daydreaming about when i was a firefighter and i was driving a motorcycle and it had all the numbers in the world fire holes."
6/25/13 - "mommy, i want to stay in new york forever. i never want to leave."
6/4/13 - "darth vader has white skin. because he never enjoys the sun."
6/2/13 - him, playing angry birds:"you made me lose a bird!" me: "it's not the end of the world." him: "it's the morning of the world!"
5/19/13 - "i couldn't see you, i'm just a kid."
5/17/13 - "miriam is wearing a muscle dress. it's like a muscle shirt, but it's a dress. i know a lot about muscle clothes."
5/11/13 - as we approach staten island on the ferry: "what kind of language do they speak here?"
3/17/13 - "it's like the vampire state building!"
11/5/12 - me: "i just don't get it." him: "that's okay, i get it."
8/5/12 - him, while watching bob the builder: "daddy, they're using varnish!" "why?" "ugh, to protect against rain and other weather. i don't like saying that all the time."
6/14/12 - "i love happy daddy and happy miriam and happy mommy. and i love my happy self."
6/10/12 - "my bones make me jump so high."
6/1/12 - him: "i'm full of it." (to be fair, he was talking about his lunch.)
4/30/12 - him: "daddy, i miss you. because you go to law school so much."
4/30/12 - him: "maybe i should add milk to my prayers."
4/29/12 - me, talking about the internet: "man, i'm still not connected." him: "just try harder, mom."
4/27/12 - him: "mommy, you know what I like about dogs? they bark. woof woof."
4/24/12 - him: "the cracks in the sidewalk are booby traps. i was just thinking about that in my head. that's where my dreams are."
4/10/12 - him: "does juice come out of people?" (translation: can you get pear juice out of clothes if you spill?)
3/19/12 - him: "right now i'm thinking about ambulances and fire trucks, and saving people."
3/11/12 - him: "mommy, sometimes i think about everything, that i know of."
3/8/12 - him: "if you say so." (he actually says this a lot lately. it's pretty funny.)
2/23/12 - him, talking to a friend: "this is miriam. i love her."
2/14/12 - him: "my muscles are good at putting things on."

12/2/11 - simon, after peeing his pants: "well, sometimes i can't get my pee pee to pay attention."

7/24/11 - looking under the place mat at dinner: "yup, it's construction in there."
7/20/11 - him in bed: "i like the blanket up to my neck. it makes me so happy."
7/17/1 - him: "i'm thinking about garbage trucks."
7/5/11 me: "what did you do with your boogie?" him: "i just put it in my ear."
6/20/11 - him: "you are not silly!"
6/17/11- rob: "should we name the baby girl simon?" him: "what? i'm not in mommy's tummy. i was in mommy's tummy last week."
6/16/11- after every hiccough: "i'm still doing it!"
6/2/11- me: "i love you" him: "you're welcome"
